currently readingThe Revelations of Carey Ravine

i literally just started the Revelations of Carey Ravine. i have no idea what it’s about but it’s a historical fiction set in 1770’s (london, i think).

i also started reading outlander a few days ago. i watched the season finale and i really want to know what happens next, so i decided to pick it up. it’s massive and i can’t believe i’m doing it, but i’m happy to try.

recently finishedandidarken

i finished reading devolve; the wolf by mike hooper (review to come). i think i finished it like a week ago if not more. i really enjoyed this book, although i also had a few issues with it. i do recommend it to everyone who likes scifi (it reminds me a lot of the 100, so if you like that you should read devolve!)

aannddd i finished reading and i darken last night. it was good, but i found it rather disappointing compared to what i thought it was going to be. it’s incredibly heavy with politics, which lead to me starting outlander so i could set it aside every so often.

reading next51qSv7f04EL._AC_UL320_SR210,320_

my next read is percy jackson and the greek heroes! i’ve been looking forward to reading this for a while and i can’t wait to do so. i definitely need another percy book after this year’s lack of decent books (to me – i know others have enjoyed loads of books this year but i’ve only had one or two 5 star reads 🙁 .)

  • I’ve heard people say that And I Darken disappointed them because it was different from expected! I’ve read it myself and absolutely loved it, but I went in with barely any expectations – I wonder if that’s the difference, hmm. What did you expect it to be?

    • i’m thinking it might be the politics! i found it very slow and a lot of information to take in that i had to keep putting it down. back to the politics, this book is heavy in it, and i can’t stand the stuff, so that’s what i think it might be! i’m glad you liked it! i do plan on reading the sequel (when it comes out) in hopes that it gets better(/i enjoy it more)!
