this book meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. this post just answers the 3 questions below. i know i don’t really have much to say at the start of the tag, but i’ve read so many books recently. i’m currently at 40% of my goodreads goal already. all i can really do is thank this wonderful thing called audiobooks. i’d love to know if anyone else listens to them. i know they’re not really popular in the book community, but as an extremely slow reader, they’re really handy.

currently reading

i’m still reading awaken by g r thomas, and my reading has slowed down as i’ve been reading with quite a few audiobooks. i feel really bad that it’s taking me so long to get through, especially as it’s a decent book. (it’s probably because i keep reading more and more books and can’t keep up with what i have).

i’ve also started marian by ella lyons, but i’m only a couple chapters in. i’m not too sure how i feel about it yet, but in saying that, i’ve only just started it.

and i’ve started the labyrinth lost audiobook and will hopefully finish it tonight or tomorrow morning. it’s not a particularly long audiobook and should take me about 3 – 4 hours to finish it.

recently finished

i’ve recently finished quite a lot of books. my most recent being frostblood, which i found very disappointing. it was so generic and like nearly every other ya fantasy book i’ve read. i expected more from it.

prior to that, i read defender by g x todd. it was better than i thought but still could’ve been better. (thanks to hachette nz)

i dnf’ed roseblood a few days ago as it was so boring and i didn’t particularly like the characters. i’m not sure what it was but i just didn’t like it at all.

magnus chase and the hammer of thor was one of the best books i’ve read this week. (i’ll be posting a review next week if you’re interested in reading it!).

and i’ve also read carve the mark.

reading next

i’m still hoping to get to the moonstone and the rise of the erifs. i will be continuing to read(/listen to?) as many audiobooks as i can. some books that i’m looking forward to are:

  • the crown’s game
  • glass sword
  • outlander

i’ll probably listen to some others too, but those are the one’s i want to get to asap.
